“A Swarm of Bats Darkening the Sky and Mysterious Footprints”... Cave Collapse Mystery: Accident or Deliberate Escape?

Seven silhouettes captured on CCTV moments before the collapse

Thousands of bats poured out just before the collapse... “Is this a sign of disaster?” - Different footprints spotted at the scene... Search team: “Possibility of a third party.”

The cave, identified as the fugitive vampires’ initial hideout, has collapsed catastrophically. While investigators have tentatively concluded that the collapse was a natural one caused by ground instability, witnesses and specialists at the site hold different views.

The VAMPIRE NOW Special Reporting Team, disguised as human journalists, spoke with workers and geologists who saw the unusual precursors immediately before the collapse, and pursued the truth of that day through a Vampire Pursuit Unit official who had investigated the site firsthand.

[Witness 1] Individual A, an official affiliated with the Vampire Pursuit Unit
: “Something was off about the footprints. It really seemed like an unseen person had been present.”

According to the unit member who was first to inspect the collapsed cave entrance, the evidence left behind did not resemble that of an ordinary accident or a run.

Q. (Reporting Team) Did the search reveal anything out of the ordinary?
[Pursuit Unit Individual A]: “Before the human police entered the site, the evidence we reviewed was not like what we see in ordinary cases. Multiple footprints were discovered in the area surrounding the debris. Fugitives typically move in one direction. But while the traces inside the cave were relatively well-preserved, they scattered in multiple directions, making it difficult to identify how many individuals were present.”

Q. (Reporting Team) What do you mean when you say it’s hard to ascertain the number of individuals?
[Pursuit Unit Individual A]: “Footprints other than those of the confirmed fugitives were present. Human police officers might not notice, but we can tell by the stride length and the depth of the tracks that they’re subtly different. We suspect that someone else was present alongside the group of fugitives.”

[Witness 2] Taxi Driver B
: “The sky went completely dark. Then, the ground shook with a thud.”

Taxi Driver B, who was waiting for a passenger at dawn, had a clear recollection of the situation. He described the scene as a harbinger of disaster.

Q. (Reporting Team) You witnessed a swarm of bats?
[Taxi Driver B]: “Yes, just before the roar, a swarm of bats poured out, darkening the sky. I’ve never seen a flock of that scale in the city.”

Q. (Reporting Team) Was there anything else unusual after that?
[Taxi Driver B]: “Seconds after the bats poured out, with a loud noise, the ground thumped and shook. The impact was so strong that it shook my stationary car... I have no idea what happened—maybe something exploded inside the underpass or something.”

[Expert Interview] Geologist C
: “This is not a natural collapse pattern. The cause appears to be an internal shock.”

A specialist who analyzed the site photos and data pointed out that there are many aspects of this incident that make it hard to view as a simple natural phenomenon.

Q. (Reporting Team) Based on your observations, did the site look like a simple natural occurrence?
[Expert C]: “While the precise cause needs further investigation, certain anomalies suggest this was not a typical natural event. Typically, natural collapses occur gradually from the entrance or as the ceiling falls in. However, the way this cave collapsed suggests a sudden internal pressure change or physical impact pushing outward may have occurred.”

Q. (Reporting Team) Could it be related to the movement of the bat swarm?
[Expert C]: “Yes, it could. The fact that the entire flock of bats poured out at once is a strong indication that there was a sudden and artificial change in the cave’s internal environment. Much of what occurred cannot be explained by simple ground subsidence.”

[Editor’s Note] Humans are attributing this to an accidental collapse due to weakened ground. However, the swarm of bats that darkened the sky and the enigmatic internal impact are phenomena familiar to us. This is highly likely to be a trace of vampire abilities activated during a moment of crisis.

In particular, the third set of footprints mentioned by the search team is a decisive clue that could overturn the entire case. Rather than becoming victims trapped inside the cave, they broke through whatever stood in their way and escaped on their own. Where were they so desperately headed that they would even destroy the very path back behind them?
