The Vampire Pursuit Unit has begun further searches of the collapsed underground cave. After the initial withdrawal following the collapse, the investigative team returned to the site today to search for evidence left behind by the vampire fugitives, as the area has now been deemed safe.
Detailed searches of the collapsed cave by the unit agents revealed markings and inscriptions on the walls that suggest someone aided the escape, reigniting suspicions about a “third party” at work.
Traces of an unknown individual were initially found when the underground cave, the vampires’ former hideout, was first uncovered, giving rise to the “accomplice” theory. The unit later confirmed that markings on the walls indicated the escape path.
Some observers are now speculating about a possible “spy,” suggesting that an insider may be leaking investigation details, as the fugitives seem to have cleverly evaded the unit’s encirclement.
In response to speculation that the cave collapse may have been premeditated to aid the fugitives’ escape, authorities stated, “No link has been confirmed between the collapse of the underground cave and the vampires’ escape.” They added, “They may have already fled before the collapse occurred.”
Amid the disruption caused by the unexpected damage at the crime scene, a unit official emphasized the need for active eyewitness reports, stating, “Although the collapse has slowed progress in the investigation, we will continue to respond swiftly to every possibility and will remain vigilant.”
