Forever 17 — A Vampire Trapped in High School for 100 Years
Some vampires who live among humans stop aging visually and become locked to a single identity range. S is one such case — eternally 17.
This year marks his 38th high school entrance. Saved from tuberculosis in the 1890s, he once celebrated immortality. But with a frozen appearance, adulthood is off-limits. He moves every few years, re-enrolls, disappears before graduation, and repeats.
The hardest part is that teen culture evolves faster than immortality. TikTok, slang, trends — exhausting for a 135-year-old. A classmate once asked “Are you T?” and he replied “I'm type B,” becoming a meme instantly.
Daytime schooling clashes with vampire biology — he nearly got sent to the nurse for sleeping in class. “I chew blood jelly in the study hall and solve calculus,” he says, tired.
He begs the council for legal identity pathways. “No more entrance exams. No more fake transcripts. Give us adult status — or at least let homeschooling papers slide.”
Eternal youth looks romantic — until you're repeating homeroom for a century.
